Winterlicious Lunch: Sassafraz

Winterlicious can be hit or miss, so whenever I find a great spot, I spread the news far and wide! This year my favourite was the $28 lunch at Sassafraz. Located in the heart of charming Yorkville, Sassafraz has been a magnet for Toronto’s well-heeled crowd for many years. Gutted by a fire almost 10 years ago, the restaurant reemerged as a beautiful, bright and airy modern space. Below are some of the fantastic dishes we sampled….check out the ingredients and try not to drool, I dare you.

  1. Wow – it’s been 10 years already since Sassafraz burned down!! … then it’s been at least that long since I was last there.
I confess I have never taken advantage of the winterlicious or summerlicious events. hmmm – maybe I should put summerlicious on my 52 New Things list for this year 😉

  2. That looks amazing! I haven’t been here in years. I’ve oftentimes heard that the quality of food has gone down–but doesn’t look like it here. 🙂
