Body Blitz is a female only therapeutic water and spa centre with locations in the west and east end of Toronto – 471 Adelaide St W and 497 King St E respectively. I have only visited the west location, but I have heard from others that both are very similar. Because photography is strictly forbidden, I don’t have any of my own photos to share but I recommend you check out the photos on their website – they very accurately represent the facilities.

The facilities at Body Blitz are excellent and include everything you might need – bathrobes, slippers, towels, hair ties, deodorant, toiletries. You just need to bring your swimsuit! Actually, you don’t even need to worry about that because the entire spa is swimsuit optional. Everyone is very respectful and about half the patrons do wear swimsuits.
The therapeutic waters are the key part of the facility and include a warm Dead Sea salt pool, hot Epsom salt pool, cold plunge pool, aromatherapy steam room, infrared sauna and several chaise loungers. A handy water circuit card guides you to maximize health benefits and prevent fatigue. You can also order a smoothie upon arrival, which will be delivered to you in the water area.

Entrance to use the waters is $54 + 13% tax ($44 on Tuesday’s) and does not require an appointment. I find that to be a bit steep, so I always reserve a treatment instead (all treatments include full use of the facilities). I normally have the 30 minute therapeutic massage ($105 + tax), which I find to be good value. All my massage therapists have been very good, and if you have health insurance that covers it, even better! Other treatments include scrubs, muds, and glows (no facials or nail services here) and range from $90 to $205. The face and scalp renewal treatment ($140, 60 minutes) is fantastic and my hair never felt softer! Gratuity is included in the price so no extra costs besides tax.
I suspect most Toronto locals know about Body Blitz, but for tourists, it can be a great urban sanctuary to help you refresh from sightseeing, decompress and warm up on a cold Canadian day! Don’t let the non-descript industrial exterior fool you, serenity awaits inside.

Photos are always strictly prohibited in the spas…I must admit I am super sketchy and sneak in my iPhone…that is why my photos are not very good. Hopefully,I will not get in trouble. I would not recommend any of these types of shenanigans in the shower or bathroom areas lol Just saying 😉
